Well, the Clio Cup is over and finished. It was a blast, and major Kudos to Pete for putting it together. We've done sprint racing in spec touring cars, so we're going to the other end of the spectrum. The GT400 cup (rulebook attached) will feature endurance races in heavily modified, grip-intensive production cars (A850, RWD, 300-400 hp). Most races will be 25 laps of long ribbons, though the races at Sebring and Daytona will be 50 laps and be scored more heavily. Nurburgring will be 8 laps. Major developments include a caution system (all tracks but the Ring), a rules committee, and open-track qualifying. We are looking to begin either this weekend or after Christmas with the 12 Hours (50 laps) of Sebring. If we begin this weekend, the next race won't be until after New Year. Sign up below. If you're interested in serving on the rules committee, let me know about that as well. I'd like at least four people for that, including myself. Main duties will be acting as a race steward and room host, basically. If you know what car you're driving, go ahead and post that as well, but if you don't know yet, that's fine too. Also, let me know whether you're interested in running Saturday or Sunday (if we don't have enough people to run both days)
