Stability of Xbox Live
« on: November 16, 2008, 11:12:12 AM »
How was the connectivity in yesterday's races?  I've been hearing reports of instability in Live in the run up to the big new update.  I haven't been playing online multiplayer but I have noticed a larger then normal number of disconnects while in single player games the last couple days.  Is there a contingency plan for a race where more then a couple/few people get disconnected?  A re-race perhaps?  Not too important to me as I've already missed two races and have no realistic hopes for the title but just curious and I'd hate to see a true title contender taken out by a gremlin like this.

IIRC, everyone's lowest score is being dropped, partly because of the possibility of this sort of issue.

You mean like Fender was last week?

We managed to get through yesterday's race, but failed to start the practice race for Diamondback for precisely this issue. I also had a message from someone else on my firends list who hasn't managed to connect all night so you're absolutely right about there being issues.

All we can do really is cross our fingers that tonight's race works out too... unless Pete and Boo have a cunning plan :P
