Well, for the moment, I'm propping up the leaderboard with a leaderboard car, it seems.  From what I can gather, the Charger does NOT like an open differential.

Hey now, this is a great looking challenge!  Good job!

Let's see some of your setups!  ;D

Sorry that I won't be competing in this one - I lost both of my profiles (I think I bought a bogus file on the Auction House (only explanation I have for the saved setups going bad all at once))   I have started over, but I am a long ways from unlocking the Endurance races.

Have fun, y'all...

Blooze, if you need cars, just say the word.  I know that won't get you to the race, but least it'll allow you to run the hotlap and painting parts of the challenge.

Not sure if this will help, but have a look at these "support" items. Maybe a bit of hacking through the MS or Xbox sites will conjure up a solution to recovering your "achievements".
Good luck.

PS, I have over 150 cars in my garage. You are welcome to any of them, gratis. God knows I have benefited from your many posts, calcs, etc. since I started with FM2, on this and the .net site. I am more than happy to show my gratitude.
Let me know.
Cheers.

Well looks like i'm gonna be propping up my own Leaderboard... I've not broken into the 95's yet...

I've run out the Cuda a few times, First race I got majorly stuck behind the lap traffic losing around 4 seconds a lap and just avoiding damage from brake checking.... Second time... I didn't manage to avoid the brake checking Watanabe in his RX7 and ended up much like reno's GTO... Third time after some slight adjustment I was lucky enough to just catch them in the right places to get past quickly and finally broke under 49 minutes...

I'm gonna run a couple more cars tonight and then I'll get the leaderboards updated...

I messed with it a bit, but grew tired of the various failures and wiped the thing... no room for recovery from that  :-\

In many respects, this starting over is sort of interesting.  I am considering closing down both of my existing XBox live accounts and starting a new one (perhaps revive the old GICheeze monicur) so that I can truely "start over".

Thanks for the offers, fellas!  I have a post/request in the Car Lot thread - any help will be much appreciated.

I got a charger time from really long ago when i ran this enduro.

48:58.396

the time for the track is no longer on my local leaderboard so i can't see it.  I think teh Camaro's can go much faster around here.

Leaderboard Updated

I went to run the enduro tonight after some online racing but I was getting some odd graphics popping so decided to turn it off for a bit before another box goes bang...  >:(

Im with Snyder though I think a Camaro could get this one, I've built up a Z/28 and although its got less power its got plenty of grip to make up for it... ;)

I might actually have to run a manual gear change for this one.  How many gears is everbody using?

I'm actually running the stock racing tranny this time around.  I'm sure I'll mess with it eventually, but these cars have a nice, wide powerband, and they don't need to keep the revs up like my non-muscle builds typically do.

Quickly built a Cuda with nice 245 wide tyres and put a toon on it and ran (I need the credits).  She was very grippy, too grippy.  I must be running too soft on the suspension, 330/325 and full rear aero.  Had real trouble getting past the RX-7, couldn't get him on the straights, had to rely on a corner dive.

Took the gearbox from the real life transmission thread and got a benchmark of :-

accel 5.85/12.90
TS - 144.1
brakes @ 100 - 295
grip - 0.95/0.92

Cuda Lap - 135.942
Cuda Race 49:03:37

If I hadn't been trying to improve the laptime I may have got less penalties (and probably faster laptime).  Got hit with a 10 second penalty when trying to lap the 2nd place Caddy on the last corner, DOH!

I first started using Manual shifting with the Muscle cars, I ran auto when I started out with Forza but found it too keen to downshift into a lower gear which made getting out of slower corners a pain as it would just spin up the rear wheels...

I think most of my cars are just getting to the top of 4th before I have to break for the hairpin at the end of the S/F straight...
