tire pressures @ 28/28
final drive @ 3.45
camber @ 0.9/0.7 (F/R)
differential decel rating 45
aero max
all other settings default, upgrades unchanged
viper gts acr - 112.585 112.810 ;D

->at least another second in it with me driving :o
->may try 45 accel setting for diff, may not help!

today's driving tip: Relax. Lean back. Breathe. The fastest line on this track is one car wide and nervous inputs just won't cut it. ;)

Hop, if you wanna try it. i used a 2.75 FD, and rounded the first three gears to the nearest tenth in my Viper ACR. I was pretty much using just 3rd around the track 'cept for the longer straights (i believe my Diff is set to 12/25. im trying to recall from memory this early in the morning)

edit: my tire pressure's were @ 27 front and rear

I ran the Xfire from an old LMMS Suzuka challenge (see my garage further down the front page for the build/tune) against Pete last night. By rights, this should have been uncompetitive as it's not geared for the track, it weighs a lot (over 3000 lbs) and has oodles (495bhp) of power.

So you can imagine how depressed I was when I ended up little over 0.3seconds adrift of the Merc in a 5 lap race. The men in Germany may be happy, but the fact that I got so close to the Merc time in an unsuitable build tuned for another track is annoying to say the least ::) I suspect this further proves that the Merc is not as well suited to this track.

The XFire i built was all handling, and was only able to get away with a Race Engine Block for power mods to reach 850 PI.

Maserati GS - 111.068

I don't think i can get much faster with my current tune, and i can't tune to save my life.  I have tried out a few other cars, including a crossfire and a granturismo

Crossfire - 111.301
Granturismo - 112.197

i'm not to crazy about the track, but i figure if I can get faster with these cars, i can potentially get faster with my Audi and my Mugen.  I got a 1:50.033 with the Audi, so almost hitting that major benchmark.

team Mugen? ;)

viper gts acr - hoplee - 112.446

I tried it with Switch's settings for FD, tire pressure and diff. The improvement in my time is small enough that it could be the wheel nut tightening. I'm starting to get back my Mugello 'groove' for F-RWD... 8)

The settings feel fine both ways, I can't make up my mind! ???

I would agree that handling is the way to go - that's what I did for the Merc. The Xfire was sitting in my garage and I just ran the race with it as is. I was genuinely surprised at the pace it showed though,

Heidi, went out for another run before we pack up the truck and go home.  No changes, just different approach to some of the corners.

C32 112.773

I know there is still more in there.  I can keep up with my Volvo Ghost all the wat through the big right hand sweeper at the top of the track, but loose him after that.  The Volvo an offline 111.xxx I created last week, but haven't ran on any other track yet.  The C32 also briefly touches 160 on the straight if I brake late for the 1st.

One last look at the track before home........

Basically my tips are a full grip version, as power a lost cause at this track, specially with the lack of weight reductions.  Really you have to try and keep as much momentum as possible, to make up for marginal acceleration, and just go as fast as possible through the first section (Mugello Short).  It did help to drive Mugello Short a few times just to get that down so I could concentrate on the back section.

My tire pressures for all my RWD cars are usually front 2.00 bar, and rear 1.93 bar, i believe, should be 30 psi and 29 psi.  Right now my tunes are really tunes, as i don't have quite an understanding of tuning, lol.

Good effort from all of us.

I'm looking to shut it down tomorrow. It's gotten a bit slow.

However,  ;D
Tomorrow,  ;D
I'm expecting the cable guy to hook up the high speed  ;D

So I'm going to send out the massive list of FR's.  ;D
And try to host a finale room for this event. Times are come when you want to. I should be on all night.  ;D

Oh, and welcome back online, man!!

Edit:  doubtful that I'm getting on tonight; still a LOT to do on this paper.
