All the Specs
« on: August 06, 2008, 03:32:45 PM »
Edit:  Links are updated.  Thanks to TJN for bringing this to my attention.

This is the stickied post with all the specs.  I can't explain the ideas behind the specs as well as the creators, nor will I try.  I've included a brief synopsis with each of MY thoughts on the spec.  These aren't judgments so much as general impressions.  I'm locking this thread, but if you have an issue with my thoughts on your spec, I missed one, you want one removed, or would prefer to write your own tagline for it, just PM me and I'll get it taken care of.  In short, I know I'm dealing with people's babies here, so if you feel slighted in some way, just say so and I'll fix it.  If you want a general idea, my tagline should suffice.  If you want more details, click on the link.

American Legends Series
This is Dirt's creation, basically taking the Muscle, Inc. cars to A-class, either 400hp with no weight limit or 500hp with a minimum of 3,000 lbs curb weight.  This also includes a few newer cars.

Late Model Muscle Series
This is Drift's spec.  It includes a lot of newer cars, the idea being to reproduce the muscle car vibe with cars that aren't collectors' items.  Max hp is 600, Minimum weight is 3k lbs.  Slicks are required.

Supercars (Formerly S-Class Thunder)
This is Bimmer's attempt at allowing us to race supercars.  All cars must remain RWD and have racing slicks.

Tiny Terror Classic Series
This is my own creation, a group of small RWD cars.  The only restriction is that they must be under 200hp, though in practice that usually means full-width slicks and weight reduction.  My goal was to reproduce current race-production road racing, in which small, cheap cars are built out to become race cars.

Sockmonkeys
Another of Dirt's creations, this is a group of FF "trainer" racecars, designed to teach car control and allow for close racing.  This spec is indirectly responsible for the creation of this area of the site.  We've had a sockmonkey challenge, but the real fun of these cars is the online racing.

Foreign Classic Tuners
Name pretty much says it all.  This is Hoplee's thing, pretty much anything old and RWD rocks.

Muscle, Inc. Specs
These are the "standard" specs for whenever we race the old muscle.
