While in the midst of moving I decided to start up a new offline profile for the sake of sanity. Since I've already mastered the North American region I figured I would pick a different one this time. Turns out Asia won the bid. I decided to do better at setting up my cars and logging things like I should have the first time around.
So what did I choose as my opener this time, couldn't be the Solstice again, and there aren't many RWD Asian cars in the lower classes, damn. Went ahead with the Toyota MR-S to start my new career. Boy it sucks to be broke in Forza!!
I'm not keeping any cars that I don't absolutely have to that aren't from Asia. As I win them I sell them and move on. I'll be using exclusively Asian cars to keep the Career in tact. The Delta Integrale was the first victim so far and the Z/28 is on the chopping block after the Big Block Challenge. I'm very pleased with my progress so far even though I only have 1 tuned car. Discovering all the cars I passed over the first time around has been an eye opening experience. I have driven every car that I've won to compare times and that does include the Mugen I so love to hate.
Spanky's Speedshop is still alive and well but our sister shop in the orient will be handling all of the Asian work from now on. Getting it up to speed means my current (and older) projects are on hold till I'm back online. I'll be posting builds, tunes, QR's, and general notes here to document my time abroad. I'll start with the MR-S and continue as the Career dictates.
Update (7-14): Felt well under the weather on Saturday and Sunday, too much moving I think. Took it a bit easy and that means I was up for some Forza. I cleaned out the non-Asian cars from my garage except for the Z/28 which immediatly went to Muscle Inc spec for the Big Block Challenge, American Iron Series and the Camaro vs Mustang Challenge. Completed all of the races in all of the series and reluctantly sold the Camaro, the Guldstrand prize car and decided to keep the Ligenfelter for the Corvette series. Since I unlocked the Professional Series races at level 20 I can start quantifying my cars in each class by their ability to complete in the class specific races. First up is the MR-S in D-class and then on to the VIS Integra, Border MR-2 and the Toyota Sprinter Trueno in C-class. I've noticed that there really isn't a need for D-class cars in Career beyond the few class specific races. Almost all of the other races are mixed PI. I don't look forward to the Lightweight Challenge as my little Trueno is getting paired with the VX220 and the Opel Speedster both are B-class, I may be in for a real race. I've yet to build any of the better Asian cars like the Skylines, Subaru's, or Evo's and I look forward to doing so. Setting up my B-class arsenal should be lots of fun with the Do-luck cars and any others that will fit in there. On a side note, I've run enough races with the cars I've sold to surplus some cash that isn't earmarked for use on other cars, almost 450,000 cr's. It will most certainly increase as I will be re-running the cars in QR and Professional Series races next time I'm on.
