Is that 50% aero (middle of the bar), or are you running 50 lbs?

Which supercharger are you using D ?  I didn't see a torque number or any other indication of it.

Also. How is the wheelspin in the corners ? Do you find yourself being easy on the gas pedal ?

50 lbs - 1st post corrected.

We bolted the full race supercharger on her.  I forgot to write down the torque specs. but will do that tonight and edit the first post.  Wheelspin wasn't much of an issue really.  A small amount of throttle control is required but nothing extreme.  With the highest rim width upgrade you get a decent amount of rubber out back and she's no lightweight at 3200 lbs.

Thanks for updating your builds D.  New thoughts:

-I noticed you went with upgraded RIM SIZE on both cars, although neither car NEEDED the 'upgrade' to stay within specs.  Did you do this for some other reason ?

-You like high differential settings.  ;)

-I may go back and alter my ZR-1 build.  I think I could benefit from the extra TQ you are getting from the Race P.D. S/C...not sure why got rid of it.

Upgraded rim size is all about looks for me when I'm not in a PI crunch.  I haven't had the time I need to test whether size really matters when it comes to handling in-game so I just go with what I like.  My feeling is that a +2 or +3 upgraded rim size is a good compromise between handling and looks regardless of car.....again, nothing scientific to back that up.

My tuning is kinda like that also - tuning by feel rather than by formula.  The whole tuning thing was a bit of a mystery to me when I first got the game.  I had piddled around with tuning in GT4 (never played Forza 1) but nothing like what I do now.  I started by downloading some setups from the leaderboards but quickly discovered that most of those tunes didn't fit my driving style.  Then I found this site and have learned a lot from the likes of Blooze, Tonka, FDog, and others (I remember when I discovered the F-Dog calc. I thought I had died and gone to heaven).  Anyways, sometimes the results can get a bit messy (the ZR-1 tune I posted yesterday immediately comes to mind) but it usually works out in the end.

Generally speaking I like higher diff. settings although those posted here are a bit higher than I normally run.  When I get back around to some of these cars one of the first things I'll do is lower the diffs. and see how it feels.

Ok, so I'm sure that's more than anyone wanted to read so thanks for sticking with it.

As a side note, I've got some tunes for the Guldstrand, Z06, and other Vettes that I'll post up after I get through the GS tonight.  Wish I had a laptop so I could multitask while I'm sitting in front of the X-Box.......

Yeah, the laptop is handy, especially for all the tuning spreadsheets we're getting around here.

i must tell you, that i liked the first toon better.  I would suggest running 50lbs of Aero, as long as you can control it, it will definetly gain you time.  Or maybe it's just that with 50lbs of Aero, it feels more like a missile, and that's my hallmark.

by just dropping the aero from stock to the minimum, i took .5 off the stingray time, and .4 off the Zr-1 time (with another .3 or so left on the track)

It's interesting how one man's trash is another man's treasure....LOL

With that 1st tune on the ZR-1 my best lap was somewhere in the 83.7XX range and my consistency was just out the window.  Speaks volumes for different driving styles and preferences.  I'm guessing that's why I'll never be able to post a top time at tracks like R. Atlanta or America.  I don't seem to do the missles well.

Although my next personal project will be the Saleen Mustang with mostly a missle build on it.  I need to get one tuned so I can drive it with reasonable consistency so I don't get wiped by the guys I always race online with.

I'm surprised that your rear ARB is so high.  That would kill me.  I could not handle the lower aero settings either.  Plus I didn't find it made enough difference on the Sting Ray to warrant the sacrifice in stability.
