Tried it verbatim.

The large forward bias and all that DF exacerbates the push to me.
Not used to the brake bias and pressure but ran a 120.536 < 5 laps out of the box at mugello long.

Given I'm usually 1-2 sec behind you guys. It's pretty good.
I could easily get 'er sub 120 just by removing some DF I'd bet.

thnx!

***** EDIT *****
Sorry, it was early when I did this and perhaps more information would be useful than the above.  :-\
(nocked three tenths of with a TB 56/72 tune and 125lbs DF.)

First thing I noticed was the braking.  Now that's just non familiarity with the pressure so discount that.

Second, she turns in pretty nice but then seems to have mid to off corner transitional understeer especially once you get back on the throttle.
She does seem to be able to put the power down quite nicely tho, little to no rear slippage or looseness regardless of Mugello corner.

Third thing I notice is that I seem to be shifting a lot.  I with the cams and the torque these babies make, I bet a nice 4 spd with slight OD would suit this car nicely.

Fourth, she seemed better able, than my "Pink Panther", to go full boogie through the fast downhill/uphill sweepers (7/8).  Maybe a slight lift on the hilltop righthander (9), for safety reasons :)

Lastly, I like how she pushes a bit and then "locks-up" on the final left hand sweeper to the straight.

I wonder if you initiate the turns harder/sooner than I do in which case the push would be advantageous and you can get on the gas sooner than I do.
I'm so scared of loose cars that I brake , turn in with maybe a little blip on the brake to set the radius, nurse the throttle to keep a constant turn in the center and exit and then ease the gas in once nearly or solidly straight.
Probably why I'm 1-2 sec slower.

Again, thank you for sharing!
George

Looks very similar to my muscle car tunes, apart from the front ARB and rear dampers. Definitely gonna have to try this setup!

But, cams on a Z28?

Ske, from my experiecne in the old small blocks. They seem to like the cams. I have the same deal going with the ZR-1.

It seems that it helps with putting the power down by moving the RPM up. But the small blocks still have a good enough torque curve to get it to top speed.

I have a torque build on the light Z-28. I'm thinking that it might benfit from the cams as far as consistancy goes. It might gain a couple of MPH on the top speed too.

I'll have to try that on my Z, I think it might be the only muscle car that'll fit engine upgrades in B. I have no idea how you managed to squeeze them into your ZR-1 :o

Lots of these cars can take engine upgrades - and you need 'em, too.  Everyone knows a loud car is a fast car  ;D
It is highly likely that the above post was produced with a drippy jowl.

Heh, I always go for as much tire as I can, then weight, then rims and misc.. and then spend whatever's left on power

As long as there's more grip to be had, there's no room for power ;)

Hey hey to what Ske say  :D
That's my philosophy as well.
What good is power if ya can't get it to the tarmac.

All my Mugello builds so far are Grip builds.
Stock power on the Challenger, @10hp on the Shelby and 9-12 on the ZR-1 (but that build is one tire width upgrade down from max cause of the wider rear that front.)
