I like the paint.  I've seen them actually done like that IRL.  I thought MINI was a british thing at one point because of it.

Mini is a British thing.  Turn 10 put them in Germany because BMW owns 'em.  ::)

Oh, ok.  That makes sense.

Using their logic, shouldn't Vauxhall, Jaguar, Opel, and a bunch of others be in the US, while Acura should be in Japan?

Well, the Mini is basically a BMW. The only thing English about it is the history of the Mini brand... which is the opposite way from the GM way, where the cars are manufactured and designed in Europe despite being owned by an US corporation.

But there's more ;)

- The Ford Focus models in Forza are German, not American.
- Lexus is a Japanese brand, sold worldwide.
- Acura and Infinity are Japanese makers, although their biggest market is America.

There are a bunch of gray areas as well like the Cobra, which is basically a British car (AC Ace) with a big Ford engine transplant.

All that being said, the most important thing is that the cars are in the game. Nationality is so 20th century :D

Don't forget that the MINI is built in Britain too - the only thing German about it is that it is owned by BMW. Similar to what others have said, all the Chrysler marques should be listed as German as they didn't go independent until after the game was launch (as an aside, did anyone know that God drives a Plymouth?)

I'm expecting big things from you with this Bimmer. That MINI has better acceleration than my Civic, is only about 0.5 mph or so slower than the Civic and pulls better G's. In fact, I think the only thing the Civic beats it on is braking, and these cars are so slow you don't need the brakes very often :(

Yesterday, after we did the B-Class Enduro, we shifted to D and did five laps on Road Atlanta.  I was in the Cooper, Detrick and Fndr both pulled out S4-spec Boss 429s.  There was also a CRX and a Hyundai (sorry, forgot the names, guys!).  I ended up 3rd, though, as Fndr and Detrick will tell you, not forlack of trying!  I got murdered on the straights, but you shoulda seen some of the passes I made in the turns.  Constatly going around on the outside of the Mustangs!

It may not have won, but it sure was fun!  ;D

Oh, snap!  I rymed, yo!  :D

Bimmer,

I was in the Hydunai and PureStankonia the CRX. IIRC, we all finished with lap times of 1:38.xxx which I found suprising as I expected the 429s to be out of sight. I managed to get past Detrick on a couple of occasions through the turns to take 3rd place only to have him breeze past me on the back straight!

Good racing and only wish I could have joined in on more (real life commiments and technical problems).

...Nationality is so 20th century :D
LOL - I used to be fond of saying, "My Ford T-Bird, made in Mexico with Japanese parts."

Nationality... probably gone to the same place as the the 5 year business plan and the Purple Goose.

Yeah, now you make a two-year plan and hope Rick H. comes to buy you out so you can start all over again, or get a sweeter job as CEO and president of the company you just sold your interest in.

I used a Mini online in C class over the last few days and it worked out great.  Probably  my personal favorite if not the ultimate fastest but it's pretty close.  It was actually my first ever car in the game.  I used it at the start of career but then I kind of forgot about it.  I came across it recently while going through my garage and rebuilt/retuned it with my new knowledge.  I'll build one for D now and start with your settings to test them out.  I'm getting kind of bored of always using my Golf in D on the short twisties.  In C I like that I can use my Golf, Mini, Pug, or Renault almost interchangeably.  I think I have a half decent C class Civic or CRX as well.  I was switching cars every race and remaining competative, that's pretty fun :)

This thing's a hoot - I'm not sure how competitive it will be online, but its fun to drive!  ;D

Looking forward the feedback  :)
