I happened to have my build/setup sheet with me on this one so, I figured that while I was having some lunch, I'd post it up.

R1 - 1987 Porsche #17 AG 962C

For those of you who've already run the TimeTrial at the Nordschleife, you're familiar with this one. It doesn't have the top speed of the R10 or 908 and doesn't have the acceleration and handling numbers of 'Big Red' so, it's probably what you would consider a mid-pack car in it's class.

This is the tune that I used on the TimeTrial a couple of weeks ago and was still tweaking on it when I called it quits for the night. ( trimming out the aero and adjusting the gears basically ) It was still getting faster on every successive run and I hadn't yet come to the point where I was losing any grip due to lowering the aero so, there's still a little more speed in both the car and the driver when I come back to it after completing the rest of the TT events.

It's only been 10 days and I've already lost 5 spots!

 The tune:
Tire Pressure:
     Front:28
     Rear: 27
Gearing:
     Final Drive: 3.25
     (1): 2.75
     (2): 1.95
     (3): 1.55
     (4): 1.28
     (5): 1.09
     (6): 0.95
Alignment:
     Camber Front:-0.7
     Camber Rear: -0.6
     Toe Front:0.2
     Toe Rear: 0.1
     Caster:    6.0
Anti-Roll Bars:
     Front:  10.04
     Rear:   40.00
Springs:
     Front: 141.6
     Rear:  194.3
Dampers:
     Rebound Front: 5.6
     Rebound Rear:  7.5
     Bump Front: 2.9
     Bump Rear:  3.8
Aero Adjustment:
     Front: 390
     Rear:  775
Brake Bias:
     Bias:       43 %
     Pressure: 95 %
Differential:
     Acceleration: 23%
     Deceleration: 20%

That works out to be a weight bias of 42.2% and springs at 35.8%

There's nothing spectacular or ground-breaking about the tune. ( You might have noticed that this is an ARB 10/40 tune ) But, one thing that I would point out is that setups on many of the R class cars translate very easily to other cars in class and the curb weight of this Porsche happens to be 1874 lbs...
( hint, hint )
