Special notes about Muscle, Inc. Online:
1. We do not have member restrictions about how we race. That would be a problem since we don't have membership as a team or club. So, you can run whatever assists help you enjoy the game.
2. We do race hard. We try to get the most out of the cars that we can manage. Give it your best in races.
3. Try not to talk over other people on the mic. If others are talking you simply cannot out talk them. Just hush for a second and then talk.
4. As for passing and contact the rule is simple. The driver initiating the pass has the reponsibility to avoid contact. Calling your pass (letting the other driver know your position on the track as you initiate the pass) is expected. The driver being overtaken is not expected to give up his/her line. If you are faster than me I will usually try to make room. But somedays I feel a little more like I can race you and I simple won't move over. So, don't make a pass you can't complete without causing contact. Learn to back out of a pass if you cannot complete it.
5. Typically, we have run collisions on and sim damage for Muscle, Inc. online races. However, we ran relatively short races in the past. Now, we can run longer races with more comfort than before because the cars are just better in this version. But...and this is big...lag can make it impossible to run without contact. And the difference between the wheel and the controller where braking is concerned also initiates more contact that we might hope. So, we have to take this one on a room by room or event by event basis. Right now I am most comfortable with cosmetic damage and collisions on default for a typical weekly race.
6. We cannot control tire choice. You are just on your honor to run with DOT tires. If you aren't, we will pretty much know.
7. With all of that said, there are going to be wrecks. We hope for drivers to be able to simply laugh about it and show good sportsmanship. If you don't know what that is you will probably have plenty of people in your room who are willing to...uh...educate you on the matter. Keep a sense of humor.
