Our Point of View

Want to start an argument? Try to define "muscle car".

Did they start in the 50's? End in the 70's? Is it big block, small block or something else? You can't specify what is or isn't a muscle car by statistics. Muscle cars were and still are a cultural thing. It is more a frame of mind than anything else.

And so it is with Muscle, Incorporated. We're not a club or a team. We're not looking to dominate the racing world. We are just a group of like minded players who share a common set of values and interests. We are a car culture.

As Blooze has said (and been quoted), "It's about the cars, man." Imagine a group of guys on Friday night or Sunday morning gathering at the same spot to talk shop and show off their rides. In the world of Forza 2 that group would be us. We enjoy the company of old iron and the folks who love them. This place is for that company.

Your word is about all that matters, here. And, again as Blooze says (he tends to say a lot) we'll take it as seriously as you do. If your attitude is benevolent and you love the old cars you're welcome here. If you only care about winning you probably should just move along. It's not something that concerns us much. We'll race, don't get me wrong. But we are just as happy to see a friend take that checkered as we would be to do it ourselves.

We also don't have any axes to grind with Turn 10 or FM.net. We all work for a living and know what earning a paycheck can mean to a person's blood pressure. I think Turn 10 deserves my respect for that reason, alone. No one is saying the game is perfect. But none of us expect this to be a perfect world (something most folks learn the minute they need a diaper change the first time). FM.net also has my respect. They have a tough job, God help 'em. We support FM.net and Turn 10.

One last thing, you need a good sense of humor to survive around here. You particularly need to be able to laugh at yourself because you'll have plenty of opportunity with these cars. You will find storylines cluttering up the challenges. Just join right in if you have one of your own. If not, you'll probably get pulled into ours. Telling the tall tales just goes with the local territory when car guys get together.

So, welcome to Muscle, Inc. Forums. Glad you are here.

Well said Dirt - I couldn't have said it better myself.  ;)

I want to welcome everybody as well.  Dirt and I are excited about this place.  We hope to express that excitement to you in such a way that you catch it too.  Our aim... to have fun, and if this should turn out to be one of the Best Damned Forza Sites On The Net, then that will be cool too.

I would also like to second Dirt's Sense of Humor disclaimer.  This is a grown up site for grown up men.  And I say men with every honorable sense of the word.  You will be treated according to the way you act.
