Stopped in to see what Blooze was doing over in the D class area. I see he finally went over to the dark side and added an old GTI to the mix. ;) Pretty amazing car for the twisties, isn't it?

Lol, yup...  it is almost criminal how much better that car is than the others on the snakes.  My build has it working with 120 G rating of 1.11 - that along with 167 Hp and only 2049 lbs makes it pretty tough there.

I have been laboring, not quite intensively, to get my overall D Class ranking below 500 once again.  Thus far I've been able to knock 79 seconds off my D Class times, but another 27-28 seconds is required and I don't know if I will be able to hack that.

I've also been able to knock 68 seconds of my D Exhibition races and 188 seconds off the D Career races.

Last weekend I knocked 10 minutes (yes, minutes) off my Exhibition times. I discovered that my C class times were all set with various cars during the first week I had Forza. I don't think I even had my license then. :)

He, you just wait - in six months and a couple of weeks, I can legitimately make that claim!  :D
It is highly likely that the above post was produced with a drippy jowl.

So I've been gradually working my way through the Hot Laps and have now finished the RL tracks in every class and run through all the tracks in D-A classes which puts me now at 890th overall...

D Class needs more work and so i'm sitting at 928th overall, just 10 seconds in front of Fndr but a huge 63 seconds behind Blooze...

C class I've been racing a lot online in lately and have pulled myself upto 686th and now have exactlly the same time as Spiny but need another 40 seconds here to catch Blooze...

B Class is at 746th overall, closest one to Blooze though with just 9 seconds to knock off...

A class is at 925th overall, only 19 seconds behind Blooze, but with Spiny over 60 seconds ahead I think I need to spend more time in A-class...

Extra smokey.... now with no assists!

I'm feeling a target growing on my back too!!! ;D Looks like it's time to get my excuses in early for when Pete passes me ;)

C Class - it's mainly in the Infiniti, hopefully the fact that we've been running a bit of C Class online recently will help me get back ahead of Pete

A Class - mostly the Spirra, although there are some times with other cars hiding away in there. Actually, that Spirra is a very good car whether it's built for power or for grip so that's not much of an excuse.

I have noticed as well that Blooze appears to have edged ahead of me in D Class again, which is quite depressing considering that I've used good cars on the flowing tracks (2000GT) and power tracks (Trans Am) so it's only the twisty tracks that I can pretend it's the car rather than the nut behind the wheel which is letting me down :D

I've also noticed that Pete is closing in overall too as I'm only in the 800's as well. I have a feeling he may be past me before I get out of R2 ::)

I keep meaning to take an honest run at the hotlap boards.  I think most of my D-class times are in either a pretty substandard Chevelle or my D-class miata.  I might gain a few seconds by going back and hitting the snakes with the Golf MKII.  I'll take a shot at it, if time permits.

I'm gunna try to reset some of my R3 times in the JGTC Skyline.  I started with Mazda Laguna, but that car has so much torque i feel like i'm crawling through the turns, and watching my Ferrari ghost slip away.  I am able to keep up with it up until the turn before the corkscrew.

Skyline is a nice car to learn no TCS and ABS  :)

Is Blooze46 still active or did Blooze lose that id and start over?

XBL says he hasn't been on there since 12/21 last year, but he checked in here a week or so ago.

Maybe Blooze is waiting for Race Pro too. :)

(Those Turn 10 guys had better get it together soon or the train will leave without them.)

Well Race Pro seems VERY focused on just the hard core sim racer.  Forza is a bit more broad.

I guess my real question is, is Blooze playing under a new gamer tag?

He plays under Buckstoon sometimes, IIRC.

He was last active on here about a week ago.

Ah ok, I was afraid he had to start over with an all new gamertag, all new times, etc., for some reason.

I got some times in with no-assists, my favorite being R3 Nurburgring and a few U-Class and R1 times.  I'm best at driving R3 without assists, and my Renault so far.

But i will say it is faster.  I ran a 54.198 at Road Atlanta Short in an Audi TT 07, when before I could barely scratch the 54's, and at Mazda Laguna I was on pace for a 1:23.8xx in my Subaru, which as previously only gone 1:24.2xx (though very consistently).  Plus its good training for Race Pro!

Hello all.  I've been on a hiatus of sorts through the hollidays.  Sorry to have been so absent. :)

I was watching the 24 Hr @ Daytona today and got the itch to race some R4 cars.  I am at that point in my new career now, so I think I will mess with that for a while.

As for Race Pro - I doubt that I will mess with it.  I have tried a couple of those folk's games and they never seemed to set well with me.  I do hope the Forza/Turn 10 gets off the dime as far as Version III is concerned.  It would be a shame for them to lose the inroad they seem to have forged in the racing game genre.

I just checked, there have been almost 68,000 new accounts since January 1!  The time reguired to get into the top 1000 Hot Lappers has improved by more than 4 hours.  Forza II, it appears, has not died off yet!
