The SST Philosophy

"These cars are special.

"These cars don't drive at 300 miles per hour.

"These cars can't take a hairpin at 150 miles per hour.

"These cars get damaged when you crash.

"In short, they're ordinary cars.

"That's what makes them special."

Those are the words from the FM2 TV advert over here, and for me it sums up the game perfectly. These are just normal cars, I'm just a normal bloke. I'm not the world's best tuner, never will be. I'm not the world's greatest driver, never will be. But, I can try to do the best that I can.

A few weeks ago back on FM.net, Blooze told me "A man's got to know his limitations". In part that's true, but as you improve your skills, your limitations move with them. My limits before you guys showed me the tuning ropes were lower that they are now.

So, I'll continue to post tunes with two aims:

1) Hopefully people who are starting out on the tuning route will find something useful here, whether it's a setup which they find makes them faster or some nuggest of information which improves their own tune. To know that this has helped someone is just a nice thought.
2) I'm still learning. My tunes are now still so much better than they were, but I know I'm still a long way from perfection. If someone sees something on one of my cars which looks odd, I hope they would feel able to point it out if they so wished.

So, to sum up, average cars, average tunes, average driver. But by working on each aspect I hope to become above average. Many of you are already way above average, but if I can bring some more of the Muscle Inc. crew up with me that's even better.

Hope you all enjoy what appears here.

I must say Spiny, you make a hell of a student.  You are getting fast son...

I like the way you are running your Shop here, I may adopt some of your build post regimine if you don't mind.  Making sure there is a link in the respective challenge is a good idea also.  It makes sure you don't get over looked for the paint side of the competition.

Thanks Blooze - but it helps that I've had some good teachers.

Be my guest as regards the build post regimen - all I've done is list the stuff in the order that it comes up in tuning as it's easier to write down and presumably easier to build.
