Sorry to hear about your accident, although I doubt you would have thought twice about it before you broke your leg.

I can't imagine the pain, although I think I've broken both my ankles (bruised through the bottom of the foot can't be good, right?) at various times, but never had them set or even checked. That "dangling" feeling couldn't be fun, but you did ask for a beer before a ride to the OR, right? ;)

Don't underestimate recovery and therapy. Broken ankles take nearly 6 months to fully heal; I can imagine the bones that support the muscles to the ankle and foot will take longer as you took out a whole human damping system. ;)

Getting better every day and I'm shocked at how fast the therapy is moving.  I've already started on weights and a stationary bike along with my normal stretches.  The stress of building muscle back up over still damaged bones is creeping back up but I still have some pain meds left for when it gets really bad.

I wish I had requested the beer before the OR but my priorities were a bit skewed that evening and it slipped my mind.  Haven't had a brew since before the accident and that was tough on July 4th.

Unfortunately that has also cut into my Forza time and sleep has taken priority over hotlapping.  Perhaps the new car pack will help work me back up. Who knows I'll polish up my round tuit and get back to knocking the minutes off my F-class time.
Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

LOL - yeppers... when your 'Round Tuit starts getting moldy you are beginning to enter a stage of extreme procrastination, you know... the stuff of Twilight zone and the like.

I'm glad to hear that therapy is going well and you are healing quickly.  Keep up the good work!

That really does sound like you're healing well - great news!

Sadly, I can relate to the low alcohol thing - but on the bright side I should be back to full consumption soon :D
