How much advertising have they used for the last two car packs.

Doughnut.

I didn't know until I read it here. They are going through the motions once again. I can't wait for them to drop the DLC altogether. Even though the new car parade is getting old.

The only new car that I want is the new Mustang GT. And I'm figuring that the much anticipated Jalopnik pack 2 will be the last one. And hopefully complete. No wussing out you clowns. I'm just hoping they get at least a full pack of ten out of the list. It will make people irate if all 15 aren't in it. But I figure they made it 15 for the wiggle room.

I'm guessing that they didn't really know about the tire pressure thing. But it really doesn't work in sim mode. Only in a mode where damage is off. I can't tell you why. It just does.

Ressurecting an old point, but still; this would be incredible.

This is real life too...  provide a Cost of Doing business.  Transportation and lodging.  It costs as much if not more than the car, I betcha.  When you start out, you only have so much money.  All you can do is drive your racer to the local test track (The Snakes), pull the race tires and tool box out of the trunk and back seat and then get after it.  If you in 4th you break even, otherwise you lose an increasing amount of the travel expenses.  See, you can go broke racing badly, just like in real life.  Lose all your money?  Then you have to borrow some and the bank gets a percentage of your winnings.  Lose it all again?  You got to start over.

You only get to get into bigger, better races after you have accumulated a certain amount in your bank account and can buy an 18 wheel hauler.  Now you can race higher paying races on the continent you have selected (regions).  One caveat, if your bank account gets below a certain amount, you lose your hauler, and you are back to the snakes until you earn enough to buy the hauler back.

Once you earn enough money in your region and can afford it, you get to buy a plane, and boy they are expensive.  Now you are racing for the big money in all regions.  The Whole World baby...  But same deal, you have to maintain a certain level or you lose your plane, and its back to the 18 wheeler and home turf.\

The AI would also get stiffer as the ability to travel went up...

I'd like to see that.

How about this...  the registered tuner gets a percentage of all the money won while his tune is in place.  That software is more or less already there with the Storefront and Auction House.

Good stuff here Blooze.  It's idea guys like you that make the world go round.....

As for the rest of it and FM4 - Just make the racing better and the hotlapping more meaningful:

  • Racing - We need more racers on track, a better penalty system for people who cut corners, and pit stops that actually mean something.  And it won't hurt to bring me about 10 new REAL-LIFE tracks.
  • Hotlapping - It needs to be less of a chore.  Balance the PI (PLEASE) and take away the AWD advantage and don't make me run laps on 15 different variations of the same track.  And tweek the de-certified lap process so it doesn't seem so random (curbing at LeMans anyone?).

Thanks...  nothing big really.  Just thinking about what financial BS a real racer goes through - then organize into a game.

Heh, need to come up with a process to get some of Barumba's nieces...

Well, then. Hmmm. Part of the points system rewards, each level up is rewarded with a hood bunny, oh, I'm sorry, no disrespect intended, I meant a niece.
So, create an avatar niece icon that could be displayed along with the car and driver levels. Or, once  level is achieved, in the Paint function, unlock a new catagory of "Niece" decals so you can apply them, like the bomber art.
Like this...

If you’re gonna jump then jump far, fly like a sky diver
If you’re gonna be singer then you better be rock star
If you’re gonna be a driver then you better drive a race car
