It was Pete, actually.  And I got it, so if you're reading this, thanks, Pete!

Thanks for organizing this Fndr, that was a great race. I'll try and get some pics up later on.

The race time seemed to fly past, probably because me and Fndr were pretty much nose to tail for the whole race, we must of swapped places at least 4 or 5 times and I think Bimmer would have been tucked in with us as well if he hadn't flipped his car early on...

Limited, so I was able to keep lapping, but the aero was shot to hell.  I allllllmoosssttttttt could keep pace with Spiny, when he wasn't at full pace and I was driving the wheels off my car.  :D  Ditto o351.

Yeah, I thought the Jag was going to go over at some point.  Mine spent more time on its back than....well, I can't finish that joke in a thread Bimmer's reading, but the point is it rolled pretty easily.

It nearly did!  lol

I hit the same curb Bimmer did a few laps later but just managed to get it back down again and nudge off the tyres on the outside, somehow with no damage...

I'll have to get some pictures off the replay tonight, the start line does look great with all the classics ready to go and i'm sure there's gotta be some good shots of mine and Fndr's race long battle..

IIRC the field was...

Me - Jaguar E-type
Fndr - Toyota 2000GT
Bimmer - 3.0 CSL
Spiny - Shelby Mustang
Big Moo - Lamborghini Miura
o351 - Lamborghini Miura

So nobody showed up with an LMP build.  That would have made it interesting for sure...

Protype was cancelled because Spiny was the only one really interested in it, and we were a little light on participants as it was.  I was willing to run one if necessary, but Spiny volunteered to run GT as I was trying to figure out how to get hold of him to ask him whether he'd be willing to do so, so we ended up with a single class.  If we'd had 8 ppl, it would have worked great.  With just six, though, I fear two fields of 3 would have degenerated into hotlapping pretty quickly.

Note to self: Next time don't run a grip build muscle car :D And practice a bit more. ::)

Couldn't keep up with the rest of the guys - all much faster than me (or at least Bimmer would have been if he hadn't rolled).

Well, I brought WAY less hp to the party than anyone else (possible exception:Bimmer).  I kept up fine, but there's a fly in the ointment: the 2000GT seems to have little to no drag.  With the original tranny and a tune that requires I drive the wheels off the dang thing, I was able to close up on Pete in the twisty sections enough to mitigate the widening gap on the straights.  I'd have been dead meat on the short track, though.

I was packing 219hp, which, judging by telemetry, was all of TWO more horses than Fndr - though something tells me the extra 1000cc probably brought a bit more torque to the party ;)

Moo's Miura was packing around 300 and the Jag was around 260, I think.  Both probably had me on torque, though.

Then again... I did have the awesomest aero ever seen this side of a Charparral :D

As for pictures, here's what I grabbed after the race Saturday:

And my favorite of those I grabbed.  The hairpin at the first lap.  Me, with Pete tucked right in behind me, Fndr, o351, and Spiny. Big Moo had pulled off to let us by because he had an ill handling car or something.  SANDBAGGING AND RUSES, I SAY!  ;) :D

I, er, ran out of film after I rolled.  Yeah, we'll go with that :D
