Recess

So, after having satisfied my need to get some sort of turn in response with my tunable Pug, I figured, OK. You' ve been to school, happy boy, so what have you learned. Well, I went back to the Time Trial car, un-tuned, and applied what I had learned with the tuned Pug from my paddock. The biggest difference, well, two of them, were...
1. Keep well left (edge of track) at the end of the SF straight to turn one, full throttle then start to brake and down shift to 1st at the first black marker on the left after the bridge, cut the pylon by just a whisker and hammer it to turn two. The key, keep well left to set this up.
2. Second gear through 2 to the S's, set up wide right, edge of track, down to 1st and cut the back of the curb (late apex) in turn three, apply what the F1 guys call a flick, as soon as you have clipped the curb on the back of 3 immediately turn hard right and catch the back of the curb in turn four (another late apex), hard on the throttle to the outside curb, trust the grip. This flick will happen almost automatically, there is so little distance between 3 and 4 that the natural roll of the car will help it set up for the second quick turn out of 4. This manoeuvre will take about 2 seconds off the lap.
I got down to 100.589 in the stock Time Trial Pug, that's down from my original best post of 103.635 way back on the 12 of Feb.
Not bad, 48 hours to net about 3 seconds, God I love this game!
