EDIT: I checked out the dampening thread, but was a bit confused by all the back and forth discussion, so I'll just ask my question here (be it dampening related or not). I'm driving around a B-Class M3 (FR car) for career mode, and used Feuer's calc to set up the suspension. It works pretty well, my only complaint being that it has some light throttle oversteer - I can keep it in check by feathering, but can't make absolutely perfect corners all of the time. What moves can I make to fix that up without completely ruining the balance of the car?
I'm sure FD will correct me on any errors here. First step though is to save your current set-up - that way if it does all go wrong you can easily go back. As I understand it, there are at least three things you can do to sort the light on-throttle oversteer:
1) Practice throttle control. As long as the oversteer is only light and isn't making the car uncontrollable, that light oversteer can be a good thing as it can aid you in getting on the power earlier without understeering off the track.
2) Reduce the accel setting a little - I've usually found this makes RWD cars less likely to snap oversteer, especially the high power cars. This is something of a blunt instrument though, and may be excessive for your needs.
3) When you look at the Damping thread, you probably need to try the builds for yourself to get a feel for what the car is doing. However, as a quick bit of advice, have a look at adding 0.1 or so to your front rebound to slightly slow the car's reactions at the rear.
Hope that helps.
