Somehow failed to say nice car Pete ::) - not doing well am I? Especially as it is such a nice job - waaaaay better than anything I can do. But then again as I haven't bought a car yet I don't have one to slap the paint on so not much point me buyingone yet.

Just one quick question though - did you try putting the word "Alfa" in the file name? I tried uploading a paint for the 8C called "Alfa 8C" and it rejected it for bad language :o Calling it "8C" was fine so does anyone know why Alfa is disallowed (sorry for the hijack).

Other copyrighted stuff seems to be outlawed, too.  *shrug*
It is highly likely that the above post was produced with a drippy jowl.

I was able to use the word Mazda in a file name...  I really wish T10 would come out with a definitive list of what we can and can't use.  I've seen some issues on the .net about allegedly unjustified bans..

Nice job Pete.  I really should try my hand at painting but there is just too much racing to do ;-)

Cheers TJN, yeah the racing has kinda got in in the way of my painting at the moment too but I should have some more soon as well as some tunes. The alfa is bringing in a nice little side profit though and is currently 4th highest rated and 5th most downloaded design for this car, so i'm really happy...

Also got a favour to ask if anyone's in the storefront...  I found last night that there are 2 people selling poor quality copies of this Alfa design on the storefront as well,  I've given them a 1 star rating already, would appreciate if others did the same so people don't get ripped off by them... cheers.

Cheer's TJN,

I've got the L'il Devil's up on the Auction house with the E class tune as I wanted to keep the paint and tune together for the masses... (There's quite a lot of Fiat 500's up, probably easiest to find them from my storefront under the view auctions option) If you just want the paint though i'm sure I could sort you one out...

I would love just the paint.  One issue I have with the storefront thing is you can't modify anything you've purchased.  Even if I buy a tune I pretty much will always want to be able to tinker with it at some point.  If I buy a paint I might want to change the number (if the car has one) or add my name to the side or license plate area.  I guess the total lock down is the only way they felt they could go while protecting the original from being copied.  Oh well...

So anyway, I would love the paint!

Yeah its a bit of a pain not being able to change anything with a bought tune, ah well like you say at least it does stop people profiteering from others work...

I'm just about to leave the office and fight my way through the rush hour, i'll send you over a L'il Devil when I get on later...

I hate how it even locks you out of even looking at what parts are installed on the car.  I can understand locking out the settings, but preventing you from knowing what parts are there is a bit silly. I won't be using the tuning shops at all.

For any that aren't using the storefront, I suggest copying any of the single color manufacturer logos and put them on the storefront.   They're pretty simple to do and it gives a steady income.  I have one design and 3 logos that have brought in 10K-20K a day.

Thanks mate, really appreciated...

Let me know what you think of the Yaris tune... It's shown to be a very competative car so far...

Hey, BBQ - I picked up one of your LiL Devils the other day and it is working out well... Good Job.

I thought I'd give the Blitz Yaris a try too since I need to have one for the factory Spec race anyway.  I have tried to get the paint job onto the car and all it tells me is there are no cars specific files.

Am I not holding my mouth right or something.  A 2008 Yaris S is my current car when it tells me this.

Confused...
