GT400 Miura
« on: April 22, 2009, 01:53:55 PM »
I did promise, so here it is. If anyone wants to try it out, this is the Miura as used at Sunset Infield.

As you've all seen, it's a great car for the flowing tracks, but loses out on the straights to most of you, and loses out in the tight turns to the rest.

Upgrades:
Power: Race Exhaust, Cams & valves and Engine Block
          Sport Intake
Stock Ignition, Fuel System, Cams & Valves (I thought I'd used the race ones, but apparantly not :-[) and Engine Block
Platform: All race including weight reduction
Tyres: Firestone Slick Tyres on Volk SE37K rims, F=245/60R15, R=265/55R15
Aero: All forza parts (front bumper, rear wing)

Stats:
Power: 385 bhp
Torque: 298 lb-ft
weight: 2111lbs

Tune:
Tyres: 29/29
FD: 3.67
1-6: 2.93, 2.12, 1.67, 1.39, 1.16, 0.99
Camber: -0.9/-0.7
Toe: 0/+0.2
Caster: 5.4
ARBs: 12.63/9.72
Springs: 382.7/409.9
Ride Height: 3.8/3.8
Rebound: 4.6/5.9
Bump: 2.3/2.8
Aero: 45/50 (min)
Brakes: 49% front/100% pressure
Diff: 45/20

Benchmarks:
0-60mph: 4.286s
0-100mph: 9.563s
Top Speed: 171.2 mph
60-0: 96.6ft
100-0: 261.1ft
g's@60: 1.15
g's@120: 1.14

So, a summary:

Pros:
Awesome through the fast corners
Very good turn in
Low torque means it's easy to control wheelspin

Cons:
Low torque means it's not the fastest off the line
Lacks the ultimate grip of some of you
It's not quite as fast in a straight line as most of the other GT400 competitors for a given amount of downforce
