Part of me feels "What a cock-up!" Without those two spins on lap 9 and the resulting damage, I think I could have been pushing Bimmer when he came out of the pits on lap 10, let alone losing ground to pete.
Thing is, is nobodu had had problems, I think Pete's was the only car I was faster than, so I'd have been 5th instead of 3rd. So, instead of looking at it as 2 places lost, I'm going to be positive and think of it as 2 places gained.
I have to say that Pete certainly proved the truth in the pre-races statements that keeping your nose clean was the key to a good result.
